LISA PFEIFFER

Lisa Pfeiffer earned her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (1995) before moving to Florence, where she studied painting and completed a Post-Baccalaureate at SACI. Awarded a scholarship to study in Rheine, Germany, she participated in the group exhibition Local Time at Rentlage.

She later worked as a muralist and undertook an artist residency in Prague, Czech Republic, exhibiting at the Zlata Dabner Gallery.

Following 18 years of painting and public art practice in Oakland, California, Lisa moved with her family to London, where she now lives. She has a studio in the very well known Hackney Downs Studios in east London.

Since relocating to London, my work has undergone a meaningful evolution. Immersing myself in the city—its intricate patterns, lush gardens, and the deep connections formed through new friendships—I have begun to explore themes of impermanence and memory through abstraction and symbolism.

In my recent paintings of flowers serves as a visual representation of the rhythm of city life, while the use of gold leaf reflecting the richness and beauty that surround us. At the heart of each work, flowers emerge as enduring symbols of life, love, and friendship. These blooms, inspired by relationships that touch our lives and sometimes depart, are painted to preserve a moment in time. They will never fade, never leave; they remain as eternal reminders held in the heart.
