JINHEE PARK

Born in South Korea, Jinhee Park is an artist currently based in London. She received her early art education at Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School in South Korea. She later moved to London, where she completed a Diploma in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins (CSM) in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (UCL) in 2025. She has since been awarded the Cass Art Painting Awards.

Jinhee Park’s work explores personal narratives rooted in her own experiences. For her, art is a passage for self-reflection and a means of preserving memory. She believes that art begins with the individual—and that this process requires time for introspection. Her paintings carry a sense of weight, built through layers of accumulated gestures, revisions, and experiments. Beneath their thick surfaces lie traces of time: each colour, texture, and mark embodies the slow and deliberate process of recording her inner world.

This approach stems from her belief in finding value in the ordinary. She focuses on the most everyday and intimate objects, fleeting moments, and often-overlooked details of life. Through this practice, she uncovers moments of gratitude embedded in the everyday. Park invites viewers to share in this sense of wonder and curiosity—to pause, observe, and reflect.
