CLAIRE LANGLY-Smith

Claire lives in East Harting, West Sussex, with her husband and three children. She began her career as a full-time chartered surveyor, training and qualifying with Savills.

Becoming a mother of three made maintaining a full-time career in London increasingly challenging. She spent the next ten years focused on raising her family, before beginning to look for a new creative outlet. A pottery taster course at Loam Studio—a thoughtful gift from friends—sparked a passion that quickly grew. Several courses and a few years later, She now has her own wheel and a studio at home.

Today, she works part-time as a ceramicist, creating unique, characterful pieces from reclaimed stoneware clay. This collection showcases her most recent work, all hand-thrown in her home studio, then glazed and fired at Loam Studio.
