Aitch

Andy (Aitch) is a British painter who turns the interior into theatre. Following on from a career in music and then in the antiques trade, his creative energy is now focused on painting.

After a life spent observing patina, the weight of a chair and the fall of old fabric - he now paints the rooms that those years taught him to see. His work moves between richly worked interiors, patterned surfaces and light pooling across a worn armchair. Using oil, the paintings are warm, colourful, full of character and deeply lived-in.
